Prerequisite/requisite training required:

Graduate of ACGME - Accredited Plastic Surgery Residency or international medical graduate with equivalent training. Pre-plastic surgery applicants with at leat 2 years of US surgical residency training may be considered. USMLE Step 3 completion is required prior to application for all candidates.

This fellowship will provide in-depth experience with breast, head and neck, and extremity microsurgery as well as oncologic reconstructive surgery. We support active head and neck, breast, and sarcoma services, and the regional burn unit is run by our department. The microsurgery fellow will be involved with surgical cases at Methodist University Hospital and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. Opportunities to participate in diverse microsurgical cases, upper extremity, facial reanimation, and cosmetic surgery are available. Interest in research is welcomed and supported. Non-US applicants must be willing to apply for and work under a J-1 visa.
