Position Title: Orthoplastic and Limb Salvage Surgery Fellowship (NA)
Position Location: University of Pennsylvania Health System / Penn Presbyterian Medical Center
Position Description: The Orthoplastic and Limb Salvage Surgery Fellowship (NA) is a non-accredited training program designed to provide advanced training to fellows at the PGY-6 level or higher who have completed an ACGME-accredited surgery residency or fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery. The fellow will train in extremity reconstructive surgery, and receive additional advanced training in hand transplantation, microsurgical reconstruction of upper and lower extremities in adults and children and brachial plexus surgery. The fellow will learn different surgical approaches for managing multiple upper extremity conditions in the areas, including bone trauma, soft tissue trauma, infection, tendon injury and transfers, acquired conditions, and microsurgery (including nerve repair and reconstruction, free soft tissue transfer, vascularized bone grafts, upper extremity replantation, upper extremity allotransplantation and brachial plexus surgery).
