Additional Program Information: This is a one year, clinical fellowship with wide breadth of training in microsurgical reconstruction focused at Louisiana State University Medical Center and Ochsner Baptist Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. Fellows perform over 150 cases in complex microsurgical breast reconstruction, 25-30 cases of head and neck reconstruction, 20-30 upper and lower extremity reconstructions, and a variety of other complex reconstructive cases. Fellows participate in clinical management of reconstructive patients and participate directly in teaching residents. The fellow has additional opportunities to pursue academic research and will be expected to attend regular academic conferences in addition to monthly microsurgery research conferences. The fellow has additional opportunities to attend national and international meetings for microsurgical research.
