Welcome from the president!

Dear Colleagues,

The American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery is the premier reconstructive surgical society in the world. Yet ASRM represents more than a professional organization; it embodies the values, standards, and shared identity that define what it means to be a microsurgeon. In many ways, ASRM represents the very soul of microsurgery.

Our specialty is grounded in a deep respect for anatomy and shaped by a rich history passed down through generations of microsurgeons. Each year, the ASRM Annual Meeting brings together our deeply passionate members—perhaps best described as “fans of ASRM”—to engage in thoughtful debate, scientific inquiry, and meaningful collaboration. This exchange continually elevates our field, sustains its future, and ultimately improves the lives of our patients.

The upcoming Annual Meeting, coordinated by our Scientific Program Chairs, Drs. Merisa Piper and J.T. Stranix, will continue this proud tradition. We look forward to welcoming our members to an outstanding program and reconnecting at the JW Marriott Turnberry. To extend learning throughout the year, ASRM has also launched a series of monthly webinars to further share knowledge and strengthen our community.
